COVID-19 Vaccine

Pfizer vaccines are available at our practice for patient over the age of 12, and for children aged 5-11 years.

Our practice is not able to give COVID-19 vaccines to non-Medicare cardholders.

A Pfizer booster dose for patients 16 years and over who have received their first two doses of COVID-19 vaccine has been recommended to give the most protection for the longest period of time. You should receive your booster dose 3 months after your second dose (as per ATAGI recommendations from 31st January 2022).

(Note: If you have received a third dose of COVID-19 vaccine as an immunocompromised patient, it is not recommended to get a booster as well.)

For more information regarding booster doses, visit the Australian Government Health website.

To arrange your booster dose appointment, simply call the practice.

Children aged 5-11 years will be able to receive their first COVID-19 vaccine from 10th January 2022. They should receive two doses with an interval of 8 weeks. Please note that ATAGI have only approved Pfizer vaccines for this age group. Appointments for these can be made via the "Book Now" tab on our website or by calling the practice.

For patients who are severely immunocompromised, a third dose of the COVID-19 vaccination has been recommended. If you are severely immunocompromised, you should receive your third COVID-19 vaccine at 2 months after getting your second dose.

If you are unsure whether you should be receiving a third dose, feel free to book in to chat with your GP about it.
