Mental Health

At some point in life, one in five people will suffer from a form of mental illness, whether it's anxiety, depression, stress, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia or another psychiatric illness. Everyone goes through highs and lows and experiences different levels of stress throughout their life, however, when these symptoms persist for a long period of time, it is important to have a discussion with your doctor.

Individualised Support for Mental Health

We are all different, with our own coping mechanisms, hence no two people react in the same way to a particular situation. Therefore, it is important for your doctor to also take an individualised approach, discuss and identify the issue and develop a management plan that is best suited to your individual needs.

Our doctors take the time and care required to understand the issues before deciding if further care is necessary, such as referral to a psychologist/psychiatrist, addition or adjustment to your medications, or ordering any investigations if they feel that a physical cause needs to be excluded.

With a fully qualified, experienced and friendly team on hand who are committed to supporting every patient to ensure improvements in one’s physical and mental health and wellbeing, we provide a confidential and safe experience for patients in need of guidance or clarity to deal with a range of problems.

We also have psychologists who work with us. Speak to your doctor if you feel you could benefit from an appointment.

Please speak to our reception team about the appropriate appointment length to discuss your mental health, as an extended appointment may be required.
